Legislative Action Committee

The Legislative Action Committee (LAC) of the Cupertino Chamber of Commerce is a group of local business and community leaders in Cupertino. Attendees include representatives from local technology companies, council members, many small business owners, developers, the League of Women Voters, and community members. Attendance ranges from 20 to 30 people and is held in a roundtable format. The LAC prioritizes larger topics that have a direct bearing on the quality of life in the community but that transcend the municipality.

Regular presenters to the group include Sen. Jim Beall, Assembly Members Evan Low and Marc Berman, Supervisor Joe Simitian, Santa Clara County Tax Assessor Larry Stone, Sheriff Lori Smith, Member of the Board of Equalization Fiona Ma, District Attorney Jeff Rosen, along with presentations from the California High Speed Rail Authority, VTA, and regular presentations from Cupertino council members and staff regarding local initiatives.

Meetings are typically (but not always) held at 12:30pm until 2pm, the first Friday of each month. The meeting is open to the public. R.S.V.P. preferred.

Meetings are subject to change so please check the events calendar for the most current information on speaker and date.
