Cupertino Chamber of Commerce is looking for a passionate graphic designer with an understanding of membership benefits and entrepreneurship to concept, design and develop beautiful, creative and high visual impact graphic materials, with emphasis on offering: branding, directories, brochures, reports, banners, signs, presentations, websites, e-blast, and social media campaigns.


  • Create and design the overall conception and production of graphic materials including, but not limited to; printed and interactive collaterals, offering flyers, logos, brochures, presentations, graphic/charts, banners, directories, e-blast, interactive forms, surveys, and visual design for web and social media, building and keeping the branding guidelines
  • Apply professional graphic design principles and develop materials to support business development
  • Create digital and print advertisement materials or any type of publication
  • Realize or modify illustrations, backgrounds, icons, templates or any kind of graphics to work in different formats or applications
  • Develop large and complex graphic projects from start to finish
  • Elaborate graphics and printed materials for special events and fairs
  • Create and maintain a catalogue of pictures and graphic materials
  • Work independently and cooperatively on multiple projects, meeting deadlines and budget constraints, and scheduling project implementation based on workload, which may include five or more simultaneous projects
  • Meeting or communicating to understand what is required out of a project, and helping get those ideas out in a workable way
  • Stay informed on design software and marketing/design trending and innovations and apply new concepts
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in graphic design
  • Demonstrable graphic design skills using software or by hand with a strong portfolio of successful applied projects
  • Have experience working with profit and non-profit organizations, and chambers
  • Extensive demonstrable experience of 10 years creating graphic materials for institutions and events
  • Have a great sense of style and form, and understanding on how to create and follow brand standards
  • High capacity to design an effective graphic communication identifying the target’s characteristics and requirements
  • Proven ability to execute creative concepts while using fonts and colors with sophistication
  • Deep use and application of geometry and its mathematical calculations to create grids, matrices and layouts
  • Ability to create and implement custom graphics for social media
  • Have designed annual reports and financial materials
  • Experience in design printed and digital directories
  • Able to convey complex information in dynamic infographics
  • Designing by creating own templates
  • Must understand the principles of website design and be able to conceptualize, sketch, layout and implement the functional structure and connections for a suitable user interaction and experience thru graphics
  • Capable to dress up an e-commerce
  • Design for large-format materials including trade show displays and billboards
  • Proficiency in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, After Effects, Adobe Muse and Dream Weaver
  • Knowledge and proficiency in WordPress, Drupal, Membee, MailChaimp, Eventbrite, Hootsuite, Keynote, and Flip PDF
  • Basic understanding of automated processes in Adobe products
  • Previous experience with Google Analytics, Adwords and Search Console/Webmaster Tools
  • Knowledge of the printing industry standards and technical details that go into effective and functional design
  • Mastery in elaborating soft mechanicals for multiple traditional and digital printing media (such as offset and digital offset, rotogravure, flexography, screen printing, multi-function printer and inkjet)
  • Proficiency in preparing and packing files for printing and archiving
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage from start to finish a workload of multiple projects in order to meet deadlines efficiently in an ambiguous fast-paced environment with minimal up-front information
  • Must be able to communicate and defend graphic concepts
  • Have deep understanding of the local community, and its particularities in the entrepreneurial sphere
  • Ability to adapt to internal processes for organizing and archiving work
